(image via Google, hoping to make a similar one myself :))
I can't believe it, in less than two days I'll be changing this cold snowy city for Barcelona! I know it's not that sunny right now, but still better than -10° С :) I wonder if I have any readers from Barcelona.
If you live in Barcelona or have ever been there (I haven't), I will really appreciate your tips on where to go shopping/eating/sightseeing. I might be unable to update my blog the first couple of days I'm there, so bear with me and expect a picture overload once I'm all settled!
See you in Spain!

ooowwwww amazing news :) and ı'm waiting more photos in barcelona :))))
ReplyDeletehave fun <3

Great photos! Have fun on your trip!
ReplyDeleteWOW! That's so cool!!
ReplyDeleteCool, happy for you!
ReplyDeleteHowever, I've been in Barcelona 3 times for the last 4 years and its amazing! You gonna love it! I honestly recommend The Aquarium, which is maybe the best in Europe. More, you may visit all the Guel's buildings /the Park, Las Casas, Sagrada familia, etc./, The Arc de Triomf is amazing. You MUST go to the Montjuïc and, of course, Camp Nou.
For shopping - Maremagnum is the right place to go. It's just next to the Aquarium, in the nearby there are great restaurants, offering this amazing Mediterranean food, ah, so delicious! And a few cinemas, if I'm remembering good.
And last, but not least - Las Ramblas. THE place in Barcelona, where it's spirit just ... explodes.
Well, that's it, according to me. Cheers ^.^
Thats amazing! Enjoy your trip...

Congrats! I envy you! I want so badly to go to Barcelona too this year, but I'm not sure I am going to be able to do it. I studied architecture and am a staunch fan of all of Gaudi's works.
ReplyDeleteI highly doubt you are going to be able to take such a picture of Sagrada Familia though, since I think it is in restauration process! I know, it sucks. Maybe they already finished, I hope that badly for you, it's really one wonder of the world. Have lots of fun! x

Hi! I'm from Barcelona! Some spots I love: Park Güell, by Gaudí; Born and Gracia areas for little shops, Paseo de Gracia and Rambla Catalunya for big shops, Barrio Gótico (Gothic area, with the Cathedral and Santa María del Mar, which inspired the book Cathedral of the Sea by I. Falcones), you might like also, food: fideuá (similar to paella), cava (Catalan champagne). Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteYou will definitely LOVE that city! Full of cool people, shops, restaurants... You won't be bored!
You can't miss walking along the Ramblas (one of the main pedestrians street), that will lead you to the Maritime area (simply amazing!)
If you want some fashion shopping, go to Santa Eulalia! Lots of famous brands!

On my blog, here is a section on Barcelona telling you the main stuff - http://www.honeywhatscooking.com/2011/09/itinerary-spain-france-italy.html
ReplyDeleteYou must visit the Boqueria Food Market, try the fried fish stall, sangria, and vegetable empanadas - so good! Shop at Mango and Zara (of course). walk down passeig de gracia - all designer and normal stores. Lots of coffee shops, the coffee in Spain is fabulous!
Hope this helps. :-)
